Simone!!:  Omg I can't believe it's our last day! I'm going to miss this class so much! It was one of my best classes. We always had good times and fun, and laughs that I will never forget about. Heeey, today we came into class & I have on a build.a.bear skirt(: lol, swagg. There's alot of people absent today thoe. like Simone, Chris, Maia, & Espie :p anyways, little short stack (Hector ) chose me to do the blog. I was waaay excited :D We're watching The Diary Of Anne Frank. We're on the part where they're about to go into hiding. Daniel just waved at me,(: today I'm sitting by Delayasia & Frank. Its kinnda quiet in here today. Ms. Nakada is doing porforlio reflections & other school junk. It's 1:01 & Robert just walked in, urg >.< Then Julia walked in. I'm sleepy, >:O but im trying to stay awake. sh, Anne & family are sleeping. Some people are still taking the SPA test . My babycaaakes just walked in(: & smiled at me, lol<3 Delayasia was here iLoveYhu other half >.< <3 This movie is getting interresting, oweee ! eeew, >.< Peter has a cat. When I came back Ms. Nakada was sayinig that today is the last week she will really see us because we are graduating and next week we practice for culmination and all of those fun thinigs. Today Maia read her blog and then I volunteered to do it instead of Joshua. We read a poem and shared our inspirational views on them. One of them had a moth in it. heeeeyey Edwin boy .! Paayge was here (: Anyway SIMONE IS HERE NOW HAHAHAHAH ! I'M CHILLING LIKE BOB DYLAN THOEE !!! AYEEEE ! LEGOOOH(: Anywaysss. . . We then continued our work on Writer's Workshop. . .poems. We then had our Break.

We came back and I rated Guillmarck's poem and gave it a 7. We looked at the notes and I started doing the notes I missed. We did the questions and a summary on it and then did the propaganda of the North and the South. It was our ticket out of the door. Then we got packed up and ready to go.

Today I was chosen to do the blog for the first time since I've been attending this school. We started with poetry and it was inspired by "Shafro" who wanted to grow an afro because he believed that he would be able to pull girls and have the ability to beat up people. Simone decided to read her poem while trying to get up. She almost fell. #hilarious! The next poem was very exciting because I have the same name as the author Maya Angelou, I just spell my name different. Personally I think I spell my name better (MAIA).
Back to the lesson, I love how Maya Angelou takes care of herself and doesn't care what people say as you can see she believes she is a Phenomenal woman. Some people had to work on their Glory Field essay because they have not turned it in yet. Everyone else has to work on there poems. DELAYASIA WAS HERE!!!!!! HEHE BYE BYE LOVEE YHUU MAIA!!!! YHUR MYY HONEYBUNCHESS :* English is over and now we are taking a break. Happy because I needed one.

We continued on pg. 42 The Civil War, we had to complete our questions. Hopefully everyone studies for the quiz on Thursday so they can get a good grade. Exciting news! We got a NEW STUDENT!!!!! I would tell you what his name is but I dont know what it is. He seems like a very quiet person. We started  on Ch.22 notes part two. I learned that the Battle of ANTIETAM was a major "victory" for the North.
The Civil War was a very deadly war for example the medical care was not good at all. A lot of people died of infections. Some soldiers refused to get medical help because they knew it was no use. We started on another topic the Gettysberg: Lincoln's Gettysberg adress but we didn't finish it. Continuing on the bull run pg. 47-56. Hope everyone finishes. The bell is about to ring and everyone is gettting ready to leave. The bell rang yay home we go !!!!!

I can't believe Kevin picked me to do the blog, after all I've done for him. ; - \ So here I am doing the blog. We start class with Kevin reading his blog which had this poem by Emily which I found very entertaining. Daniel demonstrated the breaststroke for us on the floor. Quite interesting. We then started writing I Am poems. We wrote one as a class and then wrote them individually. Simone read hers, then Chris and Payge.  Simone is loud and crazy. Chris is cool and clumsy and Payge is short and funny. We then did writer's workshop and I collected some make-up work. I have to get grades in!  Stressful!!!  The bell rang so we took a break.

Since today is the 150th anniversary of the firing at Fort Sumter, I played an NPR story about how they are remembering these events in South Carolina. Then we reviewed the first 5 characters from Bull Run, got into literature circles and read the next four sections.

 We came into class and Oscar read his blog. Then Ms. Nakada told everyone to take out their book projects and reading journals. Then Ms. Nakada read us a poem that she wrote for Payge about sasquash and how it made her laugh that Payge thought it was a vegtable. After that Ms. Nakada told us to work on our TGF essays or to start our poetry collection. Well now the room is so quiet and Cayley is not working on anything. She just stares at me. She is so LAZY!!!!!!!!!!!! We just told Ms. Nakada that her computer is making some weird noses and she told us that the speakers were on that's why and Cayley told her that it was hungry and she turned it off!!!! Shavon is over here laughing for no reason weird =D Shavon is acting very weird today. Ahahahaha well, it's time for a break!!!!!

Ch.22:The Civil War

HW-Review Notes

I got picked to do the Blog and I went up and got started. We added some stuff to our English Notebooks and started looking at Poetry and reading some of it. We started some cornell notes on Poetry and we heard about NaPoWriMo, which is in April. We found out about Forms and Topics for Poetry and how certain types of forms match certain types of topics and also on how your feelings and being specific about it can make it universal and how it can relate to a lot of other people. Then we started either doing our Glory Field essays or writing a poems about a feeling that is universal if we were already finished with our essays. The bell rang and it was time for break.

We came back from our break and returned our alpha smarts and Stufff'. The class got noisy again and we looked at some words in a dictionary that rhymes. Then we started our cornell notes on Ch.22: The Civil War. We wrote about the positives and negatives of the North and the South and compared them both. Because the South had strong military leaders and the North had more supplies and a bigger population, it was a long war and it had the most deaths in American History. Then it was time to pack up and get ready to go home(= ARIANA WAS HERE(:

So after Chris and Ms. Nakada stopped argueeing we started to take notes on the Compromise of 1850. The notes on the compromise california wanted to be admitted (man I want a burrito) as a free state.
  Man it's  HOT!   I went- back in time through a calender :D now we reveiwed some old notes and awwwwww man Chris was about to make us take notes but we didn't. We were talking about how France and Britain were back-stabbing us. Ok so now we started our spa test and ahhhh the fan is cooling me off and it's not so hot any more. After we were done with the spa  and we started to pack up soo bye!x

We took out our notes which I think I don't have. OHH I almost forgot! Arianna got an allergic reaction...to perfume?! Ms. Nakada screamed at us for not wanting to join any reform movements && then said, "It's heaven on earth we're trying to create!" ohh I found my notes but it's too late now :-P. Chris came over to sharpen his pencil and it reminded me of my last blog where he sharpened his pencil for half an hour!

We started new notes "Ch.18/20: abolition& life for Africa Americans". Hi it's Shavon, Emily asked me to write in the blog while she went to the bathroom. We're talking about how the slave trade ended in 1808 (: THANK GOD ! Emily is back. So Byee :-* love yah!

Heyyy!! PSHH thanks shay for putting my bussiness out there! haha jk. I'm back && we talked about FREEDOM! ughh! now we have to draw maps!!:( lol Ms. Nakada said "You guys want some cheese for your wine?" haha:D I didn't know she could tell jokes!? JUST kidding!
