Luis read his blog and I got caught by Ms.Nakada :(. We then had to read the poem and take notes on them. Ms. Nakada tells us that her brother tried to convince her to drink his pee when she was little. She didn't drink the pee. Then we start to review our history notes. (I thought this was English?) Ms. Nakada tells us that she has to go to a meeting and that she would be back in 30 min. So Ms. Klapproth (I don't know how to spell her name) was here to sub. We started to take the test. Ms.Nakada came back :). Everyone finished the test and we took out our English notebooks. Ms. Nakada tells us what a Haiku poem is and the class makes one. We get ready to leave.

H.W. 7.3

Today we met in the computer lab so that my classmates and I could learn about National Novel Writing Month or for short NaNoWriMo. While we are in the computer Ms. Nakada forgets that we are supposed to read the poems. "Silly Ms. Nakada" as I said. The next thing that we did is read a packet about being a young writer. After we we read the packet Ms. Nakada is talking about creating a novel and the first thing that comes to my mind is, is she crazy? But after she explains it now it isn't that difficult. Now we are about 30 more minutes into the subject then we come back to room 229 to finish the rest of the spa test. While we are taking the test Anthony R. asks Ms. Nakada for a pencil and Ms.Nakada said something funny that made the class laugh but I know that Ms. Nakada thinks she's got jokes just because she made some thirteen year old kids laugh.  When we were done we put the chairs up and Ms. Nakada dismissed us.

HW Reading Journal 7.2

Somehow we managed to not choose a blogger today, so I guess it's on me.  Today in class someone was singing...  (I wonder who that was) so after that I passed out the SPA tests and answer sheets.  I reading the questions so we could stay focused. Everyone did a very nice job of reading the answers, staying focused and bubbling in their answers.  Once everyone was done the bell rang and we took a break.

Battle Map
Ch. 7: The American Revolution
HW: Review Notes

Wow. A bunch of students came back late to class which automatically put me in a crabby, crabby mood.  Everyone got to work on their maps and they looked pretty pretty.  Then we started writing some Cornell Notes on the American Revolution.  Today was a short day so before we could really get into the dates, battles and strategies, the bell rang and the day was over!
