 We came into class and Oscar read his blog. Then Ms. Nakada told everyone to take out their book projects and reading journals. Then Ms. Nakada read us a poem that she wrote for Payge about sasquash and how it made her laugh that Payge thought it was a vegtable. After that Ms. Nakada told us to work on our TGF essays or to start our poetry collection. Well now the room is so quiet and Cayley is not working on anything. She just stares at me. She is so LAZY!!!!!!!!!!!! We just told Ms. Nakada that her computer is making some weird noses and she told us that the speakers were on that's why and Cayley told her that it was hungry and she turned it off!!!! Shavon is over here laughing for no reason weird =D Shavon is acting very weird today. Ahahahaha well, it's time for a break!!!!!

 Well, now it is time for history and we are reviewing our notes. Well, now we are going to watch a Brain Pop video after the video Ms. Nakada told us that we were going to take the quiz. Well, now we're taking the quiz and everyone is saying different answers ahahahaha we got  9 out of 10 right as a class. Now we are doing a map. Payge told Ms. Nakada that her map looked like a sasquash and that it looked delicious. Well the bells about to ring so bye... Ari says HI :D

Civil War Soldier

H.W. History Quiz Tomorrow!

Today class started with Wendy reading her blog then we went to the library to watch the guy who will play a soldier and Ms. Nakada chose me to be the blogger.

His name is Jon LeMonte. Right now he's talking about why he's fighting. It was because he wanted to protect his loved ones. His job before the war was a farmer. His rank was Private and his unit was Company G, 10th Louisiana Infantry Regiment. His family consists of 3 sisters, 2 brothers and 1 sweetheart<3. His sisters keep the farm going and his brothers also fight in the war.

In the Civil War, they had a 3-day supply of food. It was a cracker called Hard Tack. They had different nicknames for it. Their favorite drink was coffee. What they would do was make coffee, dip the cracker in it so the cracker wouldn't be hard anymore and eat it. Simone volunteered and her and Jon did a re-enactment of how they would have to steal food in order for them to have something good to eat. It was funny. xD He also said that in the war, there were bad living conditions and that it was also boring. All they did was breakfast, march and drill. lunch, march and drill, dinner, march and drill. They played games and sang during their free time.

They carried all kinds of stuff into battle and hoped they wouldn't die. Bell's ringing in two minutes so bye bye. (:
